Both steering shaft components are crafted from SUS304 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and weldability. Ideal for marine environments demanding hygiene, durability, and long-term reliability.
Both components are made of SUS304 stainless steel, a highly versatile austenitic stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and weldability. It is widely used in industrial scenarios that demand high levels of hygiene and durability.
2. Machining Process
Long Shaft with Spline Component:
· Core Process: CNC turning is employed for external cylindrical machining, ensuring the shaft's cylindricity and dimensional accuracy.
· Spline Forming: High-precision internal/external splines are created using hobbing or cold extrusion, guaranteeing precise meshing and torque transmission with mating parts.
· Finishing: Critical mating surfaces undergo grinding to achieve micron-level surface roughness and dimensional tolerances.
· Surface Treatment: Final mirror polishing enhances the product's corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance.
Flange Base Component:
· Forming: The blank is obtained through forging or thick plate cutting, followed by CNC milling to shape the flange profile and mounting holes.
· Inner Cavity Machining: Boring and broaching are used to machine the internal splined bore, ensuring a perfect fit with the shaft.
· Surface Treatment: Mirror polishing is also applied, which not only improves aesthetics but also effectively prevents dirt buildup and facilitates cleaning.
